New york is also called the big apple, population there is 8,4 millions.
11 september 2001 when two of the world trade center got attack by two airplanes many people died there. The two airplanes attacked two of the highest world trade center. Both of airplane attacked near the top of the two highest world trade center. Before the two world trade center collapsed, lots of people that was near the top of world trade center committed suicide by jumping off the building. After 9/11 and world trade center collapsed, they build Ground zero as memorial of those who died there.

New york is the biggest city in the USA. Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten island are the five districts that belong to New york. Manhattan is an island and is in the middle of new york.
In New york there is different kinds of food from different countries and a lot of take away food.
If you take boat trip around Manhattan, you can see skyline with skyscrapers at the sky. You can also see statue of Liberty. There is central park in New york and in central park there is zoo and museum of art and Guggenheim museum near by. There is a lot of shopping places in New york.

Washington D.C.
Washington DC is located along the Potomac River, between Maryland and Virginia. Also at the east coast of the United States. Washington DC stands for Washington District of Columbia, and it’s the capital of United States. Washington was founded as the nations capital 1791. Maryland and Virginia donated a bit of their land to build the federal district.
Most visitors starts at the national mall, a two mile green stript often referred as the nations frontlaw. There is no shoppings at this mall, but it does have many famous museums and monuments.
At the zero mile stone in the national mall you can see at the north the white house, the south stand the washington monument, the US Capital building on capital hill. Around the museum there are heroes and the founding fathers.
The signing of the Residence Act was signed 1790, The signing was about the creation of the capital district.
The city was named to the honor of George Washington, who was the first president of the United States of America.
Just in the city itself its around 600 000 inhabitants, but the Washington Metropolitan area has the population of 5,7 million.
Washington has one of the highest enrolments on community schools in American city’s. There are many colleges and universities in Washington, some examples are American University, Georgetown University and George Washington University. George Washington University was founded through a congress decision 1821.
In Washington there’s five big men clubs in sports, Washington Wizards (Basketball), Washington Capitals (Hockey), Washington Redskins (Football), Washington Nationals (Baseball) and D.C United (Soccer).
