England

London is the capital of England, one of the oldest capitals in the word. London has many bridges, the biggest bridge is London bridge. First hotell in london name is Browns Hotell, the hotel oopned 1847, they service afternoon te, cakes and scones. The hotel has very nice rooms.

England has a popultaion of about 53 millon people, In the capital the population is about 10 millon. London is Europe’s biggest metropol.

England most popular food is street food, fast food, fish and chips, afternoon tea.

London has Europe’s biggest airport (Hearthrow), the airport located 22 kilometers outside London. Year 2011 69,4 million people passed the airport. Hearthrow was opened 1946. 1946 to 1976 the name of the airport was London Airport.

You can go to England by train, boat, airplane.

Agatha Christie comes from England, Torquay in south England, she was a great book writer, she has written many well-known books. She was born in 1890 - she died 1976.

Tourism

You can go and watch football, England has very many good football-team, they play on very big stadium. It’s very expensive to go and watch football
You can go to the capital en look at big ben it’s a big bell, london eye is the world’s biggest feriswheel and The tower of London, it’s a big castle and a old prison.

Ireland

Ireland is a country with beautiful nature, it is often called “the green island”. A symbol of the country Ireland is often a green trefoil. The northern part of the island belongs to Great Britain. The population is around 4,1 million. Many babies are born in Ireland, and an interesting fact is that almost half of the population is under 25 years. In the middle of the 1800s, Ireland was kind of poor. “The great famine” occurred, and the potato harvest went bad three times in a row. But with the support from EU, the country has been developing a strong economy in the past few years. Most Ireland citizens work with industry, often with IT and making software for computers and stuff like that. There is a lot of small agricultures that produce meat and milk that is exported to Europe. Ireland also got a lot of minerals, like zinc and lead. Ireland is republican, but the president doesn’t have very much power. It’s exciting to go for a roadtrip out on the countryside, the traffic signs is often poorly maintained or even gone. But in return, the ireland citizens are helpful if you decide to stop and ask for directions.

If you want to listen to live-music, you can go in to pretty much any pub in Ireland and get entertainment. There is often either a band, one of the pub’s regular guests, or one of the owners of the pub playing guitar or some other instrument.

If you want to go sightseeing, you should go to Dublin, the capital city of Ireland. There is a lot of stuff there, and the city is kind of small so almost everything is within walking distance. The river Liffey splits the city into two parts, connected by many bridges.

The Aran islands is three islands with very beautiful landscape, small stone-walls and a few good views. The habitants of Aran Islands work with farming, tourism and fishing. The islands are famous for their sweaters.
