Belize is a nice small country in Central America this fantastic country only has a population of 334.300 and the largest city with a population of 70.000
Belize has English as official language but maybe 50% of the population talk Spanish and a small group of 5.000 talk old indian languages.
Belize is the only country in south and Central America.
The school is free for everyone but many from the old population can’t read or write.
A big part of the population are farmers or fishermen.
They cultivate sugarcane, bananas, pineapples and lemons or oranges.
But if you going to spend your vacation here you need to know that Belize have bad side to. A few part of the farmers cultivate drugs like marijuana, cannabis and cocaine and you can't trust everybody you can be robbed, so watch out

In the north Belize has swamps and a fantastic rainforest, In the rainforest you can find many tropical plants and animals. In the rainforest Belize also has a fantastic cave system Because Belize has so high humidity the farmers can farm chocolate plants.

In south the massive Maya tempels rise to the sky. You can take a trip for a day to look the old history the Maya indians built a long time ago.
Belize has a very big reef a short distance from the fantastic rainforest and beach.

In the bering reef you can find a big “hole” they call it “The great blue hole”.
The great blue hole of this reef is perfect circle of 0.4 km diameter with blue water as deep as 145 meter, route to the Great Blue Hole is edged by the Long Caye and the Half Moon Caye. you can see the hole out from space.
Because Belize have many different types of ethnic groups the culture had been mixed. The dance, music and rhythm often recalls of Indian music. But the aboriginals listen to old spanish music.
The food in Belize are a mix by the ethnic groups but a speciality are spicy chicken casserole, with coconut milk. They also eat much vegetables and fruits.
